HERSHEL DON YANCEY
Don Yancey is an experienced educator, trainer, and curriculum developer in the church, government, and military organizations around the world. From evaluating the development needs of individuals to team building, he has proven to be a marked asset to managers, supervisors, and leaders at all levels. His “people focused” training events and enrichment programs included marriage enrichment, stress management, suicide prevention, professional ethics, ethical decision-making, counseling subordinates, leadership development, and interpersonal communications. His innovative retreats and seminars always are well attended and result in laudatory evaluations.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas; his Master of Divinity from the Mid-America Baptist Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee; his Master of Theology in Ethics from the Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky; and his Doctor of Ministry in Education from the Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina. His training also includes Leadership Effectiveness, the Leadership Assessment and Development Program, Instructor Certification, Curriculum Development, Instructor/Curriculum Developer Middle Manager Certification, Basic Human Interaction, Group Development, and Experiential Learning Design. He has served as an Adjunct Instructor with the Vincennes University (Fort Benjamin Harrison Indiana Center), and the Erskine Theological Seminary.
Dr. Yancey is a mentor in individual and small group relationships, and he is comfortable in religious, government, military, and corporate settings. His emphasis on balance and health in personal and professional life infuses all his programs. With his expertise as a public speaker and educator, he has motivated men and women to achieve their most valued goals and objectives. He is down-to-earth, insightful, and innovative in delivering assistance to individuals and groups. He is never boring!
