Strategic planning determines where an organization is going over the next year or more, how it's going to get there, and how it will know if and when it got there or not. The focus of a strategic plan is usually on the entire organization, while the focus of a business plan is usually on a particular product, service or program.

 

This 14-hour course is a primer on strategic planning and is applicable for organizations of all types and in all sectors—public, private, government, and non-profit.  Upon completion, the student will be able to identify thee key elements in a strategic plan and understand the planning process. Practical exercises help the students to begin the logical steps in writing a strategic plan.

  • Writing and communicating the plan
