Roberto Torok
Roberto Torok’s operational business acumen, solid financial background, and in-depth sales and marketing experience have allowed him to develop very successful teams in several countries in The Americas and Europe. He is known for his hands-on leadership approach, empowering culturally diverse teams to exceed expectations, regardless of the industry and while always facing challenging economic conditions.
Roberto’s real life experience in countries like Mexico, Brazil, Honduras, Colombia and Argentina gives him an especial understanding of complex regional issues and their people and an exceptional perspective on how to manage and to assist others to manage change in local and multinational teams.
He was in charge of the international consolidation (Latin America segment) of two competing organizations (Avery Dennison and Paxar) into one customer-driven team, overseeing operations, manufacturing, sales and marketing. Among other things, three facilities in Mexico were consolidated into one in a record time of eight months, improving synergies between the former competitors.
Earlier in his career at Lexmark, Roberto opened all the Latin American markets for the company, turned around underperforming business units, gained sizeable competitive advantages, and increased hardware and supplies sales. Over a period of six years, as the Vice President and General Manager, Latin America realized a 600% profit margin increase and sales boomed to more than $300M.
Following his success, he was promoted to Lexmark’s Small and Medium Business unit. Torok’s innovative value propositions and go-to-market strategies coupled with his competitive spirit grew sales 40% in three years with sales exceeding $280M.
Roberto holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a BS in Accounting from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He also has completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Portuguese and loves to travel.
